Montreal Latvian Centre

The Montreal Latvian Centre was founded on March 25, 1983. The Montreal Latvians’ Social Centre gathers Latvians from the town and its neighbourhood to the events and common activities. In the activities of the centre are included eight Latvian organisations and more than 100 individual members.

The leader of the Montreal Latvians’ Social Centre is Andrejs Vītols.

The Montreal Latvians’ Social Centre supports financially a lot of projects connected with Latvian identity cultivation and Latvian culture and education development. Special attention is paid to the youth and its education projects. Several projects are implemented with the help of Vītols Foundation in Latvia, and they give support for Latvian pupils and youth.
