The Latvian Society in Norway – Bergen was founded on October 25, 2013.

The mission of the Society is to unite and support Latvians living in Bergen and its surroundings, take care of preserving and strengthening of national identity and Latvian culture.

The Board Chairman of the Latvian Society in Norway – Bergen is Rasa Jukone.



 Activities

The Latvian Society in Norway – Bergen is planning not only to become the important meeting and Latvian culture preserving and popularising place for Latvians living in Bergen and its surrounding, but also to promote implementation of varied projects and cooperation with Latvian and Norwegian institutions.

The Society gather interesents by organising lectures and educational events, supports the foundation of interest groups and amateur collectives, implements public events connected with folk traditions, as well as promotes common change of information about events and activities that take place in Western Norway and are connected with Latvia.

The Latvian Society in Norway – Bergen closely cooperates with the Latvian Society in Norway.
