The Association of Latvian Organisations in South Australia (DLOA) was founded and registered on September 5, 1985 to coordinate activities of Latvian organisations in South Australia by supporting and promoting Latvian organisations to maintain and develop Latvian culture and education.



DLOA works for educational and charity aims. It represents Latvian community’s interests in Australian society and in state, municipality and other institutions. DLOA helps to preserve the existing Latvian culture heritage and supports creative work that brings the good for Latvians and society in general, supports Adelaide Latvian schools and other activities that promote teaching of Latvian language, literature, history and other culture aspects.

The decision-making body of the DLOA is General meeting that takes place once a year. Between meetings the DLOA is managed by the Board that consists of four members. The Board consists of the chairman, vice-chairman, secretary and cashier. The DLOA is managed by the Board that is elected to 3 years.

On October 1, 2014 Reinis Dancis was elected as a Chairman of the DLOA to three next years, vice-chairman – Skaidrīte Auguļēviča, cashier – Varis Līdums, secretary – Iveta Leitase, consultant – Malda Ceplīte.

The Association of Latvian Organisations in South Australia is a part of Latvian Federation of Australia and New Zealand.
